Audi EV Sales Grow by Over 30% in Q1 2025

Audi EV Sales Grow

Audi is charging ahead in the electric vehicle market. Despite a tough global economy and rising competition, Audi EV sales grew by over 30% in the first quarter of 2025. The German automaker delivered 46,371 electric cars worldwide—up 30.1% compared to Q1 2024. This surge came even as total brand deliveries dipped slightly by 3.4% to 383,401 vehicles.

Audi EV Sales Grow Across Key Markets

The growth in electric car deliveries was especially strong in Western Europe. Especially, in France and Switzerland where the sales grew by 169% and 120% respectively followed by 87% in the Netherlands, 64% in Norway, and 59% in Germany.

In Europe alone, Audi delivered more than 25,129 electric vehicles—an increase of over 50% from last year. Further, with an increased 59% growth, Audi recorded 8,640 EV deliveries.

Incoming orders for fully electric models in Western Europe grew by 86%. Across all drive types, orders rose 22%, showing strong customer demand fueled by Audi’s new model initiative.

Audi EV Sales Grow as New Models Roll Out

Audi’s strategy to boost EV offerings is taking shape. CEO Gernot Döllner confirmed that 2025 would see ten new plug-in hybrid models, including the Audi A3 and A5 in multiple body styles. Two full-size hybrids—the A6 Avant and A6 Sedan e-hybrid—will launch in May.

Audi is also expanding its EV footprint in China with localized electric models and production. The recent debut of the A6L e-tron and AUDI E5 Sportback at Auto Shanghai reflects this push.

Solid Financials, Strong EV Momentum

Audi Group revenue rose 12.4% to €15.4 billion in Q1 2025, powered by better model mix and strong EV sales. Operating profit increased to €537 million. Though net cash flow was negative at €-61 million, it marked an improvement from last year.

Additionally, highlighting the focus on competitiveness and improved efficiency, Audi Group’s CFO Jürgen Rittersberger said, “We are driving Audi’s transformation forward with full force.”

Looking ahead, Audi expects revenue between €67.5 and €72.5 billion in 2025. The focus will remain on electrification, efficiency, and flexibility.
