BMW Group India has announced the launch of the BMW M Drift Academy, introducing an all-new drifting experience tailored for Indian driving enthusiasts. The inaugural edition is scheduled for April 26–27, 2025, at Raymonds Compound, JK Gram, Thane West, Maharashtra.
This unique initiative offers participants a chance to explore drifting in a safe, controlled setting under expert supervision. With a strong focus on responsible driving, the academy encourages all attendees to take a pledge to #DriftResponsibly.
BMW M Drift Academy Offers Two Days of Performance Training
The BMW M Drift Academy is a platform for individuals passionate about high-performance driving. Over two days, participants will undergo immersive training sessions behind the wheel of BMW M2 and BMW M4 cars — both known for their precision and power.
The program combines theoretical instruction with practical track time. Certified instructors from BMW will lead the sessions, covering key drifting techniques such as:
- Mastering throttle control
- Entering and maintaining a drift
- Navigating half and full-circle drifts
- Transition drifting using a figure-eight layout
This structure is designed to help learners gain both confidence and control on the track, while ensuring a high safety standard throughout.
BMW M After Hours: A Community Celebration
The event concludes with BMW M After Hours, a celebration designed for car enthusiasts and drift fans. This evening experience includes live music performances, gourmet food, and drift showcases.
Especially, with artists like The Yellow Diary, Karan Kanchan, and the DJ duo Prithvi B2B SMG performing at the event. The entertainment is curated by DISTRICT by Zomato, a name known for premium live experiences. Tickets start at INR 999 and are available exclusively through the DISTRICT platform.
