India Bike Week 2024 (IBW), India’s largest motorcycling festival, returned for its 11th edition with the tagline The Next Chapter. Further, promising a celebration of all motorists on two-wheels. The event brought together riders, enthusiasts, brands, and industry leaders for two days of excitement, camaraderie, and innovation.

Speaking to the press, Martin Da Costa, Founder of India Bike Week, emphasized the event’s inclusive ethos. “India Bike Week is open to all riders, no matter what you ride. Either its an EV, scooters, bikes, or superbikes,” he said, underlining IBW’s commitment to welcoming every motorcycling enthusiast.

This year’s IBW highlighted the evolving landscape of motorcycling in India, reflecting its 300% growth since its inception. The event showcased a surge in digital engagement, further enhancing its reach and influence.

Highlights of the Festival

Chai & Pakoda Ride: A unique initiative spanning 20 cities, this ride focused on promoting rider safety and the importance of proper riding gear. It sparked meaningful conversations among participants, reinforcing IBW’s commitment to responsible riding.
Riding Clubs: Over 350 riding clubs attended, with one notable group riding all the way from Chennai with an impressive convoy of 300 riders.
Riding Spaces: A staggering 62 dedicated riding spaces were set up, each catering to different aspects of motorcycling culture.

IBW 2024 saw participation from 250 brands, showcasing cutting-edge products and innovations.
Gulf Oil, a long-time event partner, expressed their pride in supporting the festival. Ravi Chawla, Managing Director of Gulf Oil, stated, “It’s a real privilege to be associated with IBW. Which promotes passion, thrill, and excitement.”
Reise, one of the youngest brands in the industry, also played a key role. Sumit Garg, Vice President, remarked, “Being part of IBW reflects our commitment to supporting the biking community and its vibrant culture.”
Jameson: Sanjit Phukan from Jameson announced an exciting Jameson Giveaway, featuring a custom Harley-Davidson built by the Bombay Biking Club. The motorcycle will be awarded to a standout riding club, adding a thrilling highlight to the event.
Harley-Davidson: Represented by Vijay Thomas and Ravi Avalur, Head of Business Unit, Harley-Davidson reaffirmed its enduring commitment to IBW and the biking community.
Rajputana Customs: The legendary custom bike builder Vijay Singh showcased innovative designs, continuing to inspire the biking community.
Hero MotoCorp: Represented by Ranjivit Singh and Geetika Bisla, Hero MotoCorp brought forward their latest offerings and innovations in two-wheelers.
KTM India: With Dinesh Kulkarni, VP Sales, and Shyam Sunder, VP Marketing, taking the stage, KTM India highlighted their commitment to performance biking and rider engagement.
Further, these industry leaders joined hands to celebrate the spirit of biking. Especially, making India Bike Week 2024 a melting pot of innovation, passion, and camaraderie.

Challenges & the Road Ahead for India Bike Week!

As the festival continues to grow, space constraints in Goa have become a pressing issue. Martin Da Costa hinted that this might be the last year IBW is held in Goa. “The space we need has now grown to twice the size. We’re exploring options for the future,” he shared, leaving fans both excited and nostalgic about what’s next for the iconic event.

India Bike Week 2024 was not just a festival but a movement—a celebration of motorbikes. Especially, an ability to bring people together across  pan India and the globe, regardless of what they ride. As the event closed with the thrilling announcement of Generation Speed a brand-new cars event set to take place on 22nd and 23rd February 2025 at Amby Valley.
