Kia India has unveiled the latest version of its electric flagship, the Kia EV6, with a price of INR 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). Packed with cutting-edge technology, enhanced performance, and a bold design, the new EV6 aims to redefine the premium EV segment in the country.
KIA EV6 – Striking Design and Comfort
The new Kia EV6 features a sportier front-end inspired by Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. Enhancements include a Star Map Graphic Connected DRL with Sequential Indicators, a GT-Line front bumper, and 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, the star-map LED combination lamps with sequential indicators add to its futuristic appeal.
Inside, the cabin boasts a premium and spacious design, featuring a double D-cut steering wheel with hands-on detection technology for improved driving convenience. The dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved display integrates next-gen infotainment and navigation features, enhancing the digital driving experience.
Smart Connectivity and Technology
Kia has equipped the new EV6 with Kia Connect 2.0, offering over 100 connected features. Moreover, it includes Kia Connect Diagnostics (KCD) for remote vehicle diagnostics and OTA (Over-the-Air) updates for 34 ECU controllers, reducing the need for service center visits.
One of the standout features is the Digital Key 2.0, which utilizes Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to transform a smartphone into a virtual key. This allows seamless locking, unlocking, and ignition activation, even if the phone remains in the user’s pocket.
Advanced Safety with ADAS 2.0 in Kia EV6
Safety takes a leap forward with the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) 2.0 package. It offers 27 advanced safety features, including five new autonomous driving functions. Key additions include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0 (FCA 2.0) with Junction Turning and Junction Crossing, Lane Change Assist, and Evasive Steering Assist, ensuring maximum protection in complex driving conditions.
Enhanced Performance and Range
Built on Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the new EV6 delivers a powerful performance with its 84-kWh battery pack, offering an impressive 663 km range (ARAI MIDC full cycle) on a single charge. Further, the AWD variant churns out 325 PS power and 605 Nm torque, ensuring a thrilling driving experience.
The ultra-fast charging capability remains a key highlight. Especially, with the EV6 charging from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kW fast charger.
