Gottfried Neumeister, CEO of KTM AG, mentioned the partnership marks both a strategic and deeply meaningful moment for the company. “We have got an opportunity to take forward KTM’s legacy,” Neumeister said. “In collaboration with our trusted partner Bajaj, we’ve developed a plan that will help us secure additional funding for this fresh beginning.”

KTM Legacy Meets Future in revival plan

The renewed partnership cements KTM’s commitment to its roots. Its existing production sites, particularly the flagship plant in Mattighofen/Munderfing, will remain central to operations. KTM emphasized its role as a significant employer in the region, promising stability and job preservation for the local workforce.

This strategic pivot is seen as a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Stefan Pierer. Especially, whose leadership positioned KTM among the world’s premier motorcycle brands. Neumeister acknowledged Pierer’s foundational influence, stating – “He laid the foundation for one of the world’s best-known motorcycle brands, which has a unique community.”

Full Throttle Into the Future

With this financial backing and a revitalized vision, KTM is gearing up for an ambitious comeback. The company promises innovation, renewed market presence, and the continuation of a legacy beloved by riders worldwide.

“This new, second opportunity fills us with deep gratitude,” Neumeister expressed, noting the support received from within KTM and its extended network.

The announcement signals not just a business move but a brand-wide resurgence. For enthusiasts and the wider motorcycle industry, KTM’s return signals renewed excitement, advanced engineering, and a strong reaffirmation of its racing heritage.
