In a groundbreaking achievement, Tata Curvv.ev set the fastest EV drive record. The electric car drove from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, covering 3,823 km in just 76 hours and 35 minutes. Notably, this feat beats the previous record by over 19 hours, highlighting India’s rapid progress in EV technology and infrastructure.
Tata Curvv.ev: Redefining Long-Distance EV Travel
The Tata Curvv.ev, an innovative SUV coupe, successfully completed this endurance challenge with just 16 charging stops. As a result, the total charging duration dropped significantly from 28 hours to 17 hours. This achievement not only underscores the efficiency of the Curvv.ev’s advanced battery technology but also highlights the expanding network of fast-charging stations across India’s highways.
Starting its journey from Srinagar at 4:00 AM on 25th February, flagged off by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah, the Curvv.ev navigated diverse terrains and weather conditions. Eventually, it reached Kanyakumari at 8:35 AM on 28th February, marking a significant milestone in EV endurance driving. The vehicle was welcomed by Thiru. Vijay Vasanth, Member of Parliament, Kanyakumari.
