Bajaj Auto premiered the first-ever CNG motorcycle in the world. The Bajaj Freedom 125! Moreover, they have priced it at such a competitive price of ₹95,000 (ex-showroom, India) that the customers will not object. However, the Freedom shall be available only in Maharashtra and Gujarat initially. Further, the motorcycle shall be available for booking across authorized Bajaj showrooms and on the official Bajaj website.
Unveiling Ceremony
The CNG-powered motorbike was unveiled to the world in Pune, Maharashtra by Rajiv Bajaj, MD Bajaj Auto, along with him the stage was shared by the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari, who has always encouraged transformation in the automotive segment.
"With the Bajaj Freedom, motorbike enthusiasts benefit with a reduction in operational costs by 50% as compared to any petrol-driven motorcycles," said Rajiv Bajaj during the unveiling.
Innovative Features of Bajaj Freedom 125
Twin-Tank Setup
The Bajaj Freedom 125 comprises both petrol and CNG tanks with its innovative twin-tank setup. Further, the motorbike offers flexible fuel options through two switches that let one juggle between petrol and CNG.
"Through innovation, Bajaj Auto addresses the two hurdles - rising fuel costs and carbon footprint," said Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director, Bajaj Auto Limited.
Impressive Mileage
Further, taking key notes from the consumer sentiments the mileage of the Freedom 125 is 102 km per kg of CNG. As a result, a full tank of CNG shall approximately deliver a 200 km range. Alternatively, an optional 2-liter petrol tank offers over 130 km of range.

Engine and Power
Powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine, with the ability to run on both petrol and CNG. Moreover, it generates 9.5 PS of maximum power and 9.7 Nm of peak torque.
Additional Features
The bike comprises a round LED headlamp and an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. It shall be available in five colors: Ebony Black, Cyber White, Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, and Pewter Grey.
