BMW Motorrad India introduced the adventurous 900cc bikes to the Indian market the BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure. Both the bikes shall be available for deliveries starting October 2024 as CBU units. The BMW F 900 GS costs ₹13,75,000/- ex-showroom and the BMW F 900 GS Adventure costs ₹14,75,000/-ex-showroom.

The all-new BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure are redesigned completely. Further, benefiting from a dynamic design ensures increased off-road qualities and sportiness. Moreover, adding to the off-road look of the bike are the new close-fitting tank side panels with a new radiator trim. That ensures a sleek, sporty and off-road characteristic of the new BMW F 900 GS. Additionally, the new frame trims (featuring the GS logo) ensure the rider maintains optimum leg contact with the motorcycle, especially when riding off-road in a standing position.
Dynamic Design and Enhanced Off-Road Capabilities of the F900 GS
The new BMW F 900 GS features the short GS beak located beneath the new compact headlight. Whereas, the typical GS flyline stretches over the tank and the sporty seat to the rear. The rear section displays Off-road quality, sportiness and dynamic performance. Which is significantly narrower and more dynamic than the predecessor model. The dynamic appearance of the F 900 GS is further enhanced by the sporty rear exhaust by Akrapoviè. The most prominent feature of the F 900 GS is the redesigned plastic fuel tank, allowing a much slimmer and ergonomically favourable design.
The enhanced off-road characteristics of the F 900 GS are evident through the ergonomic triangle (handlebar – seat – footrests) optimised for off-road use. The handlebars of the F 900 GS are now positioned 15 mm higher than on the previous model. In addition, the standard Enduro footrests are positioned 20 mm lower. Further, in conjunction with the higher handlebar position and the new design of the fuel tank. Offering particular advantages when riding in a standing position on rough terrain.
Vibrant Color Schemes of the BMW F900 GS
The F 900 GS showcases a sporty look in São Paulo Yellow solid paint. The black-coated engine, wheels and forks give it a robust and masculine touch. However, the same isn’t available in the Passion model variant. The red rear frame, radiator trims, fuel tank side parts, and slider tube cover in the vehicle’s color with black/red tapes boost the bike’s modern appearance. In the Lightwhite solid paint/Racing blue metallic color combo, the sporty “GS Trophy” edition of the F 900 GS showcases its off-road personality with aluminum hand protectors, an aluminum engine guard, black fork tubes, and a black seat (featuring red accents). Optional sporty elements include the tinted windshield, gold wheel rims, and white rear frame. Tapes in BMW’s blue and red colors highlight the fuel tank side surfaces, radiator trim, and front wheel cover in Lightwhite solid paint.
The newly designed radiator trims with GS logo in white aluminum and Blackstorm metallic color on the fuel tank center cover of the all-new BMW F 900 GS Adventure demonstrate its readiness for off-road tours, long-distance travel, and adventures. Black parts like the engine, solid fork tubes, wheel rims, and a black-grey comfort seat all mix seamlessly. The White Aluminum matt variant of the F 900 GS Adventure emphasizes adventure and long-distance travel qualities. With updated radiator trims featuring a GS logo in White Aluminum (also on the fuel tank centre cover) along with a black-grey comfort bench seat, the new BMW F 900 GS Adventure displays a perfect blend of sportiness and style.
Powerful Engine and Performance F900 GS
The twin-cylinder in-line engine of the BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure offers stronger propulsion due to a notable boost in output. Produces 77 kW (105 hp) at 8,500 rpm and reaches a peak torque of 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm. Get a much fuller torque curve across all speeds, thanks to the boosted output and torque. This leads to a significant increase in pulling force and quicker acceleration.
The F 900 GS and GS Adventure both use a bridge-type frame. Especially, constructed from deep-drawn sheet steel components welded together, incorporating the 2-cylinder in-line engine as a structural element. The redesigned rear section of the new BMW F 900 GS gives it a more dynamic appearance. A double-sided swinging arm made of aluminum, in combination with a linked central spring strut, controls the movement of the back wheels.
Advanced Lighting and Display Features of the F 900 GS
The F 900 GS comes with an LED headlight that provides improved illumination in front of the motorcycle due to a wider low beam opening angle. This improves safety, particularly when riding slowly at night. The F 900 GS Adventure comes with LED headlight as a standard feature. Additionally, it gets a LED turn indicator and control lights in both models.
The F 900 GS and GS Adventure both feature a standard large 6.5-inch TFT display. There is no competition when it comes to the diversity of information, quality of presentation, and user-friendliness. Talking on the phone, enjoying music, and using GPS on the go is incredibly convenient.
