American Honda has unveiled 16 new motorcycle models for 2025 and 2026. Known for refinement and reliability, Honda remains one of the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturers. While Honda BigWing offers a range of premium motorcycles in India, the anticipation lies in guessing. Especially, which of these models will make it to Indian shores and their expected pricing.
The new lineup includes updated models such as the Rebel 300, Rebel 500, CRF300L, and CRF300L Rally. New additions include the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP naked bikes, along with the NT1100 DCT in the sport-touring category. Additionally, the manufacturer has announced nine more models for the U.S. market.
According to American Honda, the CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, and NT1100 DCT have already gained recognition in Europe. Now, the company is preparing to introduce them in the U.S. Furthermore, Honda emphasizes the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP for their impressive performance and design, while positioning the NT1100 DCT as a highly capable touring motorcycle.
highly anticipated Honda Motorcycles for the Indian market:
1) Honda CBR650R
The CBR650R has been a popular model for Honda, known for its refined engine and linear power delivery. Honda has already introduced this model in the Indian market, and it remains part of its lineup. The company launched it in January 2025, pricing it at ₹9,99,001. A 649cc, 4-stroke, 16-valve DOHC inline-4 engine with liquid cooling powers the motorcycle. It produces a maximum power output of 70 kW at 12,000 rpm and a peak torque of 63 Nm at 9,500 rpm.
The engine features fuel injection and an electric starter, with a fuel tank capacity of 15.4 liters. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a wet multiplate A.S. clutch. The bike features a Showa SFF USD fork upfront and a mono-shock with a 10-stage preload adjuster at the rear. It also includes a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync and an all-LED lighting system for a tech-packed ride.
2) Honda CBR600RR
The Honda CBR600RR follows a supersport design, unlike the CBR650R, and features a more composed posture with added refinement. The CBR600RR is capable of reaching 0-100 kmph in approximately 3 seconds. Honda is expected to launch the model in India in the first quarter of 2026, with an estimated price between ₹13,00,000 and ₹15,00,000.
A 599cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder, four-stroke engine powers the 2026 CBR600RR, delivering 119 bhp of maximum power and 63 Nm of maximum torque. Honda has paired the engine with a 6-speed transmission and a slipper assist clutch to ensure smooth gear shifts at high speeds.
3) Honda CBR1000RR
The Honda CBR1000RR is a supersport motorcycle in Honda’s higher CC segment. There are fewer chances of this model launching in India, but considering Honda’s history in the country, it may arrive in the second or third quarter of 2026 with an expected price range of ₹20,00,000 to ₹25,00,000.
It is powered by a 1,000cc engine that produces 214 hp of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque. With a kerb weight of 200 kg, the motorcycle delivers high performance. The front suspension features a Showa inverted big-piston fork, providing stability and improved handling.
4) Honda CB1000 Hornet SP
Honda is expected to launch the all-new CB1000 Hornet SP in the Indian market. This bike belongs to the naked supersport segment, which models like the Yamaha MT-01 and Kawasaki Z1000 previously popularized. Honda’s entry into this segment with the CB1000 Hornet SP could revive interest. It is expected to be introduced in the last quarter of 2026 at an estimated price of ₹15,00,000.
A 1,000cc engine powers the CB1000 Hornet SP, delivering 115.6 kW at 11,000 rpm and 107 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. The suspension system consists of a 41 mm Showa™ USD SFF-BP fork with 118 mm of travel at the front and an Öhlins mono-shock damper with a Pro-Link™ swingarm at the rear, offering 139 mm of travel.
The motorcycle features a 5-inch full-color TFT screen, LED lighting, and five riding modes with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). The kerb weight is 212 kg.
5) Honda ADV160
Maxi-scooters are gaining popularity in the Indian market due to their balance of sportiness and practicality. The Honda ADV160, equipped with a refined 160cc engine, has the potential to perform well in the Indian market. While Honda is currently focusing on the EV segment, it may still introduce the ADV160 in the first quarter of 2026, with an estimated price between ₹2,00,000 and ₹2,50,000.
Honda has designed the 2025 ADV160 with a combination of practicality and modern features. A 157cc liquid-cooled engine powers the scooter, delivering 15.82 hp of maximum power and 14.7 Nm of peak torque.
The two-position windscreen allows riders to adjust it without tools, providing either increased airflow or better wind protection. It offers 27 liters of under-seat storage, along with a 2-liter front compartment that includes a charging port for convenience.
The suspension system includes a Showa telescopic fork at the front and premium Showa shocks at the rear, with remote piggyback reservoirs and triple-rate springs. The Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) enhances stability by controlling the front wheel during sudden stops or on uneven surfaces.
Conclusion – Honda Motorcycles
According to the Union Budget 2025-26, the government has slashed import duties on motorcycles. The government has reduced the duty on completely built units (CBUs) to 40% for models with engine capacities up to 1600cc and lowered the tax on semi-knocked down (SKD) units to 20%. Completely knocked down (CKD) units will now attract a 10% duty.
For motorcycles with engine capacities exceeding 1600cc, the reductions are more significant. The government has cut the duty on CBUs to 30%, reduced the tax on SKD units to 20%, and lowered the CKD unit tax to 10%. With this change, we can speculate that these models may arrive in India soon. But the question remains: Shall we expect imported Hondas to arrive sooner and at a lower price now?
