Volkswagen has unveiled the Polo Edition 50, a limited-run special model launched to celebrate 50 years of the iconic Polo. This new edition blends legacy with innovation, adding premium features and exclusive styling to one of the world’s most beloved compact cars. Pre-sales begin on June 12, 2025, with prices starting at €28,200 in Germany.

What’s New in the Polo Edition 50?

The Polo Edition 50 is based on the popular “Style” equipment line, but it’s upgraded with a host of visual and functional enhancements. From the outside, the car wears 16-inch ‘Coventry’ alloy wheels as standard. Further, followed with optional 17-inch ‘Torosa’ alloys, and dark-tinted rear windows. A distinct ‘50’ badge on the B-pillar signifies its celebratory status.

Inside, the cabin is dressed with exclusive Edition 50 sill panel mouldings, a ‘50’ emblem on the steering wheel trim, and a high-gloss black dashboard. Moreover, it features the same anniversary badge on the passenger side as well.

Volkswagen offers the Polo Edition 50 in three drivetrain variants:

  • 1.0L TSI with 70 kW (95 PS) and a five-speed manual gearbox
  • 1.0L TSI with 70 kW (95 PS) DSG with 7-speed automatic
  • 1.0L TSI with 85 kW (116 PS) DSG, the most powerful in the lineup

Moreover, the Fuel consumption ranges between 5.1 to 5.7 l/100 km, and CO₂ emissions lie between 116–130 g/km, placing the car in CO₂ class D.
