Toyota Motor Corporation has unveiled the New 2026 Toyota Hilux, marking its global premiere at an event in Bangkok, Thailand. The next-generation Hilux lineup, which includes an all-new battery-electric vehicle (BEV) model, highlights Toyota’s commitment to its multi-pathway approach to achieving carbon neutrality. The model will be launched sequentially in Asia from 2026, with a diesel version planned for Japan by mid-2026.

The New 2026 Toyota Hilux represents Toyota’s vision for a sustainable future. The brand continues to develop diverse powertrain systems, including BEVs and fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), to cater to regional energy needs and customer preferences.

The New 2026 Toyota Hilux BEV prototype displayed in Thailand features a 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers a cruising range of over 300 km (NEDC mode). High-output eAxles on both front and rear provide a total system output of 144 kW, ensuring strong off-road capabilities and superior control.
The battery pack, mounted beneath the floor, optimizes weight distribution and space efficiency. While the advanced control system enhances driving dynamics, true to Hilux’s reputation for toughness and dependability.
