2027 Chevrolet Bolt

By popular demand, General Motors has revived the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt, an affordable and advanced electric hatchback designed to deliver long range, smart technology, and sustainable performance. With a starting MSRP of $29,990, the Bolt redefines accessible electric mobility in the U.S. market.

The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt is expected to begin deliveries in early 2026 as a limited-run model. It joins the Equinox EV to strengthen Chevrolet’s position in the affordable EV segment. Notably, both models are expected to drive the majority of the brand’s 2026 EV sales.

2027 Chevrolet Bolt: Most Range Under $30,000

The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt leads the sub-$30,000 electric car category with a GM-estimated range of 255 miles on a full charge. Its advanced X76 electric drive unit, designed in-house by GM, enhances efficiency while reducing costs. The drive system uses a permanent-magnet motor with minimal rare-earth materials and improved inverter technology for better energy retention.

The Bolt’s DC fast charging capability allows it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes, over 2.5 times faster than its predecessor. For the first time, it features a native NACS charging port, offering greater compatibility with North America’s expanding EV charging network.

Tech-Packed Interior and Smart Connectivity

Inside, the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt boasts an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, an 11-inch driver information display, and a refined open-console layout. The infotainment system features Google built-in, integrating apps like Maps, Play, and Assistant. Drivers can stream, game, or browse using entertainment apps such as Prime Video, HBO Max, and Angry Birds.

The Bolt also supports Super Cruise hands-free driving with expanded route coverage, improving comfort and safety. “Hey Google” voice commands allow drivers to manage cabin temperature, send texts, and even control smart home devices all hands-free.

Enhanced Safety and Driver Assistance

Safety remains a key strength of the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt, offering more than 20 standard driver-assistance features. These include Intersection Collision Mitigation, Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control. An available Tech Package adds a 360-degree HD Surround Vision and Traffic Sign Recognition for extra confidence on the road.

Chevrolet Bolt – Design, Comfort, and Style for Every Journey

The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt gets a refreshed design, featuring seven new exterior colors, 17-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, for the first time it comes with a sporty RS trim. The RS model stands out with gloss-black accents, roof rails, and an exclusive Atomic Yellow finish paired with red interior stitching.

The interior is built for comfort and practicality, offering ample storage, a panoramic sunroof, and premium features like heated and ventilated front seats. The hatchback layout ensures plenty of space, making it a versatile choice for daily drives and weekend getaways.

Chevrolet’s Commitment to Affordable EVs

“The Chevrolet Bolt was one of the first affordable long-range EVs and built a loyal customer base,” said Scott Bell, Vice President of Global Chevrolet. “Its return celebrates that legacy, combining customer-loved features with next-generation EV technology.”

With the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt priced under $30,000 and equipped with modern tech and range improvements, Chevrolet continues to lead in EV accessibility. Built at GM’s Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City, the Bolt will reach dealerships in early 2026. Further, offering Americans another exciting step toward an all-electric future.
