Audi has unveiled its new Audi Formula 1 Design with the R26 Concept at the Brand Experience Center in Munich. The car previews the brand’s first Formula 1 identity, marking a major milestone just 115 days before its official race debut. This concept reflects Audi’s vision of bringing precision and innovation to the pinnacle of motorsport.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner called this entry “the next chapter in the company’s renewal,” further, the brand’s goal to compete for the World Championship title by 2030.

The R26 Concept embodies Audi’s new design philosophy clear, technical, intelligent, and emotional. Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella stated that the project “pioneers the new brand identity”. Moreover, it will shape both the F1 team and Audi’s future production models.
With a minimalist surface design and geometric precision, the Audi Formula 1 Design features a sleek color palette of titanium, carbon black, and the newly introduced Audi red. The signature red rings will highlight Audi’s Formula 1 presence across the globe.

With strategic partners like adidas, bp, and Revolut, Audi’s entry is backed by strong corporate alliances. The team will feature experienced racer Nico Hülkenberg and rising Brazilian star Gabriel Bortoleto.
Engineering Power Behind Audi Formula 1 Design
Audi’s Neuburg facility in Germany is developing the hybrid Audi Formula 1 Design. Moreover, this powertrain is a combination of a 1.6-liter V6 engine, electric motor, and energy recovery systems. The car will run on sustainable fuels, reflecting Audi’s focus on green technology and future mobility.
The F1 chassis is being built at the Hinwil factory in Switzerland. Especially, with support from a new UK Technology Office in Bicester. This tri-location setup ensures a seamless integration of engineering, racing, and innovation.
Audi F1 Debut Set for 2026
The official team launch will take place in January 2026, followed by test sessions in Barcelona and Bahrain. Audi will make its long-awaited Formula 1 debut in Melbourne, Australia, from March 6 to 8, 2026.
