The achievement highlights BMW’s growing dominance in the premium EV market. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the milestone is not just about numbers but about their long-term commitment to sustainability. He emphasized that BMW combines luxury and performance with eco-friendly innovation.

The new charging corridor will have stations every 300 km, ensuring seamless long-distance EV travel. Covering major cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Madurai, it guarantees convenient charging access. Importantly, these stations are open to all EV users in India, promoting wider adoption of electric mobility.

The corridor is equipped with chargers ranging from 120kW to 720kW in capacity. With live status updates, digital integration, and nearby amenities, drivers can relax while their cars recharge. BMW has teamed up with major operators such as Statiq and Zeon to run these hubs.

Besides this corridor, BMW Group India has installed 300 Destination Chargers at hotels, resorts, and malls. Altogether, the company now offers access to over 6,000 charging points across the country, all connected through the myBMW app.

Customers also benefit from BMW’s industry-first Charging Concierge, which offers on-call help for trip planning and unified payment options. This ensures a hassle-free EV ownership experience.

Leadership in luxury EV market

For the past three years, BMW Group India has held the top spot in the luxury EV segment. During the first six months of 2025, the brand delivered 1,322 BMW and MINI electric vehicles, achieving a remarkable 234% growth. EVs now contribute 18% of its total sales, with the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase as the top seller, followed by the flagship BMW i7.

BMW currently provides India’s largest luxury EV lineup, which includes the BMW i7, iX, i5, i4, iX1 Long Wheelbase, MINI Countryman E, as well as electric scooters like the BMW CE 04 and CE 02.

By expanding its ecosystem with advanced products, comprehensive charging solutions, and customer-focused services, BMW Group India is shaping the future of electric mobility. With the launch of its high-power charging corridor, owning and driving BMW electric cars in India has become more practical and exciting than ever.
