Hero has strengthened its EV lineup with the Vida VX2 EV scooter under Baas. This makes it the cheapest EV offering from the company. Especially, under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model the scooter is priced at ₹59,490. However, the Plus variant costs higher by ₹1.10 lakh with the battery included.
Hero Vida VX2 Battery and Variant Details
The Hero Vida VX2 comes in two variants: VX2 Go and VX2 Plus. Moreover, the VX2 Go variant uses the smaller removable 2.2 kWh battery and delivers a claimed range of up to 92 km. In contrast, the VX2 Plus comes with a 3.4 kWh removable unit and provides a range of up to 142 km on a single charge. Furthermore, with BaaS, the company claims to offer a ₹0.96/km range. Making it a cheaper alternative for the people who tend to travel less than 100km. Moreover, with all of this, the scooter is packed with 6 kW of power.
Further, for charging, the company offers a 580W charger. With this setup, the Hero Vida VX2 Go variant’s battery takes approximately 3 hours and 53 minutes for a full charge, whereas the Plus variant requires about 5 hours and 39 minutes. Both models are also compatible with fast charging, enabling a 0 to 80% charge in around 1 hour and a full charge in roughly 2 hours when using a fast charger.
The Hero Vida VX2 Go variant is priced at ₹59,490 when opted with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), and ₹99,490 without it. Meanwhile, priced at ₹64,990 with BaaS is the Plus variant and ₹1.10 lakh without.
Hero Vida VX2 Design and Features
In terms of looks, the Hero Vida VX2 presents a straightforward design. Especially, Vida has taken a simple approach, steering clear of sharp or bold styling elements. Further, the precisely integrated headlamp into the front panel and design the side body panels with a minimalistic layout, free from extra detailing. At the rear, they incorporate the tail lamp smoothly into the panels; moreover, they add standard turn indicators.
Meanwhile, the scooter is packed with some practical features like a 4.3-inch display, but while the Hero Vida VX2 Go uses a basic LCD screen, the VX2 Plus comes equipped with a more advanced TFT unit. Additionally, Hero includes connectivity features and turn-by-turn navigation in both variants. The VX2 Plus adds to its feature list with a front disc brake and three ride modes—Eco, Ride, and Sport. Moreover, in comparison, the VX2 Go offers only Eco and Ride modes and comes fitted with drum brakes at both ends.
