Manvith’s motorsport story didn’t begin on the race track; it started behind the scenes, driven by passion, curiosity, and relentless determination. His first step into the world of racing came as a team member at Shanbhag Racing Team, under the expert guidance of Mr. Sanket Shanbhag, a name synonymous with Indian rally racing excellence.

He fondly recalls those days as the true foundation of his career. “Sanket Sir helped me stand strong in Indian motorsports,” he says with gratitude. While Tanika Shanbhag was carving her name in rally championships and Ikshan Shanbhag was dominating supercross circuits, Manvith was absorbing every technical and mechanical detail he could learn about bike setup, FMSCI regulations, and the discipline it takes to run a successful race team.

From managing logistics to testing race bikes across India, every experience added a new layer to his growing expertise. Those early lessons shaped him into the well-rounded motorsport professional he is today.

When the Shanbhag Racing Team’s riders became factory professionals, Manvith made a choice that defined his character. As, he stood by those who had no brand support or financial backing.

“I chose to support the ones who only had dreams and determination,” he says. “I gave my all to help them chase the podium because I know how much it means to fight without support.” That decision led him to some of the most meaningful partnerships of his career.

Brotherhood Beyond the Podium

One journey that remains close to his heart is with Akhand Prathap Singh, a National Rally Championship rider from Uttarakhand. Manvith stood beside Akhand throughout the MRF Rally Championship season, tuning his bike to FMSCI standards, planning every race weekend, and pushing him forward through every setback.

Together, they celebrated every finish line and every small victory, not just as a manager and rider, but as brothers in the heat of rally racing. “To the world, I was just his manager,” Manvith says, “but in truth, we became brothers on the rally track.”
Their journey was proof that racing isn’t just about machines and medals, it’s about loyalty, belief, and the will to rise together.

A Moment That Defined Passion for Manvith Kumar

Another unforgettable chapter in Manvith’s journey came with Pavan BK, one of India’s fastest privateer rally riders. He supported Pavan through multiple Supercross and Dirt Track Championships, sharing both triumphs and trials.

One particular memory stands out during the MRF Dirt Track race in Dharwad, Pavan had just returned to racing after a major injury. His comeback was fueled by determination, but midway through the race, fate struck again he crashed hard.
“The sight of him trying to stand broke me inside,” Manvith recalls. Without hesitation, he sprinted toward the track, lifted Pavan up, and helped him walk back to the paddock, shoulder to shoulder.

That moment wasn’t about racing; it was about brotherhood, courage, and compassion. Especially, as the soul of motorsport that often goes unseen. These are the experiences that stay with him forever, reminding him that the sport isn’t just about speed, it’s about heart.

Building Expertise and Earning Respect

Years of hands-on experience and an unending thirst for learning propelled Manvith into the heart of India’s racing community. His deep understanding of technical regulations and commitment to excellence earned him the prestigious position of Chief Scrutineer with the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India (FMSCI).
