Record-Breaking ISRL Season 2 Auction
The ISRL Season 2 Auction witnessed intense bidding wars, with franchises spending a record ₹6 crore to secure top talent. French riders dominated the evening, with 13 athletes earning contracts across categories. American, Indonesian, Japanese, and Indian riders also added to the excitement, showcasing the league’s international strength.
Kyle Peters secured the highest bid at ₹20.7 lakh, while the selectors chose Rugved Barguje as the top Indian pick with a ₹9.5 lakh contract. Sixteen-year-old Jack Nunn from Australia made headlines as the youngest 250cc signing, marking a generational shift in the sport.
New Teams and Fresh Signings
The ISRL Season 2 Auction also welcomed new franchises making bold moves. Indewheelers Motorsports snapped up Greg Aranda and Maxime Desprey in the 450cc category, while Tricolor Motorsports secured Adrien Malaval and Paul Haberland.
A total of 36 riders were successfully auctioned, including big names like Jordi Tixier, Adrien Escoffier, Maxime Desprey, Hunter Schlosser, and Hugo Manzato.
A New Era for Indian Supercross
ISRL Co-founder Veer Patel called the auction a turning point. He stated, “ISRL is not just building a racing league. We are creating a new sports economy for India.” The organizers will launch the new season in October 2025. They will host events in Pune, Hyderabad, and Kerala.
