Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd (KWV) has announced a strategic partnership with Jio Things Limited to introduce Kinetic Connected EVs with voice assistance, IoT features and smart digital systems. The collaboration will bring connected vehicle technology to all upcoming Kinetic electric two-wheeler models in India.
The move strengthens KWV’s focus on building accessible and future-ready electric mobility for Indian riders. By combining Kinetic’s engineering expertise with Jio’s digital ecosystem, the brand aims to make smart mobility simple, reliable and affordable.
Kinetic Connected EVs – Key highlights of the partnership
The partnership will integrate Jio Things’ full-stack IoT platform across Kinetic’s upcoming EV portfolio. This means every new Kinetic electric scooter will feature a uniform and scalable digital experience.
Jio Things offers an end-to-end IoT ecosystem that includes edge devices, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, remote device management and aftermarket support. This setup will help Kinetic deliver stable connectivity and consistent digital performance across personal and commercial use cases.
With this step, KWV plans to position its electric two-wheelers as practical everyday machines that are also digitally intelligent.
Kinetic Connected EVs – Smart features explained
The upcoming Kinetic electric scooters will offer a wide range of connected and digital features designed for convenience and safety.
Key features include:
- Voice-assisted vehicle interaction for hands-free control
- Smart digital instrument clusters with real-time riding data
- Connected vehicle diagnostics and performance monitoring
- Infotainment-enabled applications
- Telematics and cloud-based analytics for fleet operators
These features will allow riders to interact with their scooters more intuitively while also helping fleet owners track vehicle health, usage and efficiency. The connected systems are expected to improve uptime and reduce operational issues, especially for commercial EV users.
Kinetic Connected EVs – Market significance and strategy
The partnership is a major step toward making connected EV technology mainstream in India. Until now, advanced voice and IoT features were limited to premium segments. Kinetic aims to bring these technologies to mass-market electric scooters without adding complexity for users.

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kinetic Watts & Volts, said the collaboration extends Kinetic’s long-standing philosophy of simplifying mobility. He highlighted that digital features now complement Kinetic’s “Easy” approach, already seen in solutions like Easy Key, Easy Flip and Easy Charge.
From Jio’s side, Ashish Lodha, President of Jio Platforms, stated that the partnership is focused on redefining how riders interact with their vehicles. Especially, by introducing voice assistance and connected systems in the two-wheeler segment, the collaboration aims to improve safety, usability and rider engagement.
Strengthening India’s smart mobility vision
This collaboration supports India’s broader goals of smart, safe and sustainable mobility. It also builds on the Kinetic Group’s 50-year legacy, which includes iconic two-wheelers such as the Luna and DX.
With the rollout of Kinetic Connected EVs, the company becomes one of the first in India to offer mass-market electric scooters with voice-assisted and connected technology. Further, the move marks a new phase for KWV as it accelerates its transition into a next-generation electric mobility brand.
