Ferrari 849 Testarossa: Power and Hybrid Innovation

At the heart of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa is a re-engineered twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 830 cv on its own. It is paired with three electric motors for an additional 220 cv, taking the total output to 1,050 cv. Even with the major power boost, the car retains the same weight as the SF90 Stradale. Further, delivering the best power-to-weight ratio in Ferrari’s lineup.

The advanced hybrid system, derived from Ferrari’s Formula 1 expertise, offers an eDrive mode with up to 25 km of pure electric range. It also features a new turbocharger, torque vectoring, and on-demand four-wheel drive for maximum control in all driving conditions.

Design and Aerodynamics

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa takes inspiration from 1970s Sports Prototypes with sharp, geometric lines. The design not only delivers futuristic appeal but also improves aerodynamics. The car generates 415 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, which is 25 kg more than the SF90 Stradale, alongside a 15% boost in cooling efficiency.

Inside, Ferrari has focused on ergonomics and driver involvement. The cockpit comes with a new HMI system, a refreshed steering wheel with mechanical controls, and a reworked central tunnel for easier access. Premium finishes and customization options elevate comfort and exclusivity.
