The Rallye du Maroc 2025 is gearing up for an electrifying showdown as the final round of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) kicks off on the outskirts of Fez. With 222 entries cleared to start, 116 FIM riders and 106 FIA crews. Further, the stage is set for one of the most competitive finales in the championship’s history.

The 26th edition of the rally begins with an 83 km opener featuring a 19 km timed section, promising intense action right from the start.

FIM: Sanders Eyes Perfect Rallye du Maroc 2025 Season

Newly crowned RallyGP world champion Daniel Sanders of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing is chasing a flawless season at the Rallye du Maroc 2025. After clinching the title early at the bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal. Moreover, Sanders is targeting an unprecedented clean sweep this year.

Behind him, the battle for second in the championship is fierce. KTM’s Luciano Benavides holds a narrow three-point lead over Honda’s Tosha Schareina and Ricky Brabec, both eager to end the season on a high.

KTM currently leads the manufacturers’ standings ahead of Honda. While Hero MotoSports’ Ross Branch looks to make the most of his final outing with plate no. 1. Bradley Cox (Sherco TVS Rally Factory) also aims to continue his growth in the RallyGP category.

In Rally2, Red Bull KTM’s Edgar Canet is on the verge of securing the title with a comfortable 14-point advantage over Michael Docherty (BAS World KTM). The class also features strong contenders like Harith Noah and Neels Theric. While Thomas Zoldos and Carlo Cabini are set to duel for the Rally3 crown.

FIA: High Stakes at Rallye du Maroc 2025 Finale

In the FIA category, the Rallye du Maroc 2025 promises one of the tightest title battles in recent history. Just ten points separate the top three, Nasser Al Attiyah (The Dacia Sandriders), Henk Lategan, and Lucas Moraes (Toyota Gazoo Racing W2RC).

Al Attiyah, a three-time world champion, is looking to defend his crown in his favorite race. Backed by Dacia teammates Sébastien Loeb and Cristina Gutiérrez, the Qatari ace knows the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Toyota, on the other hand, is fielding a powerhouse lineup with Yazeed Al Rajhi, Seth Quintero, João Ferreira, and Saood Variawa joining Lategan and Moraes in a determined push for the title. Meanwhile, Ford M-Sport enters with four strong challengers, Carlos Sainz, Mattias Ekström, Nani Roma, and Mitch Guthrie to shake up the order.

In the Challenger category, Nicolás Cavigliasso leads comfortably but faces pressure from Pau Navarro and Dania Akeel, with 58 points still on the table. The SSV title has already gone to Alexandre Pinto and Bernardo Oliveira (Old Friends Rally). Especially, who now aim to end the season on a podium finish.

  • October 14–17: Stages 2–5 around Erfoud (total 1,409 km SS)
  • October 17 Evening: FIA Power Selective Section, press conference, and awards ceremony
