Rolls-Royce Unveils the Phantom Centenary Private Collection

Phantom Centenary Private Collection

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the Phantom Centenary Private Collection, a limited series of 25 bespoke models marking 100 years of the iconic Phantom. Representing the brand’s most complex and ambitious project ever, the Phantom Centenary Private Collection celebrates a century of craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury.

The Legacy of the Phantom Centenary Private Collection

The Phantom Centenary Private Collection serves as a rolling tribute to the nameplate’s remarkable journey since 1925. Each motor car tells the Phantom story through intricate design and handcrafted detail. The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective spent three years developing the project, dedicating over 40,000 hours to perfecting every artistic element.

Inside, 77 hand-sketched motifs narrate Phantom’s evolution, from defining owners and visionary engineers to pivotal moments in the marque’s history. Every surface, from the hand-stitched seats to the laser-etched leather and 3D woodwork, reflects a century of design mastery.

Artistic Innovation Defines the Phantom Centenary Private Collection

The Phantom Centenary Private Collection showcases a fusion of heritage and modern craftsmanship. The exterior, finished in Super Champagne Crystal over Arctic White or Black, evokes the glamour of 1930s Hollywood. Each model features a Spirit of Ecstasy sculpted in solid 18-carat gold, plated in 24-carat gold, and hallmarked in London, a modern interpretation of the original 1925 casting.

Inside, the story continues through innovative materials and techniques. The rear seats combine high-resolution printed fabric and 160,000 hand-embroidered stitches, created in collaboration with a renowned fashion atelier. The front seats feature carved motifs, symbolizing key chapters in Phantom’s history, including the “Roger Rabbit” codename for Rolls-Royce’s 2003 relaunch.

Craftsmanship Beyond Compare

The Phantom Centenary Private Collection brings three Rolls-Royce firsts 3D marquetry, 3D ink layering, and 24-carat gold leafing. Further, bringing depth and dimension to its woodwork. Door panels depict landscapes central to Sir Henry Royce’s life, with gold-leaf roads tracing Phantom’s legendary journeys across England, France, and Australia.

Above, the Starlight Headliner weaves 440,000 stitches into star patterns that capture moments from Phantom’s century-long history. Hidden within the design are symbols of the marque’s heritage, from the Rolls-Royce Apiary bees to the exclusive Phantom Rose.

A Golden Celebration of Legacy

Completing the Phantom Centenary Private Collection are fine details such as a Piano Black veneer infused with gold dust. Especially with a 6.75-litre V12 engine cover finished in Arctic White with 24-carat gold accents. Each car carries a centenary chassis plaque carved with “Phantom 100 Years Since 1925.”

Chief Executive Chris Brownridge described the collection as “an firm work of art that proves Phantom’s status as a symbol of ambition, artistry, and timeless excellence.”
