India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has launched the updated Yamaha MT15 Ver 2.0 in India under its popular ‘The Call of the Blue’ campaign. With prices starting at ₹1.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new version of this streetfighter now gets a major upgrade in both technology and styling.
Yamaha MT15 Ver 2.0 Gets TFT Display and Y-Connect
The standout addition to the MT15 Ver 2.0 is the new full-colour TFT display. It now supports Turn-by-Turn Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity through the Y-Connect app. The upgraded app offers useful features like Maintenance Reminders, Parking Location, Fuel Consumption Tracker, Revs Dashboard, and a unique Rider Ranking system.
This move follows strong customer demand for tech features already present in the R15M. Yamaha has now brought these digital enhancements to the MT-15 lineup, offering better rider engagement and convenience.
New Colours for a Bold Streetfighter Look
Visually, the bike now gets a fresh palette. The MT15 Ver 2.0 DLX is available in two new shades — Ice Storm and Vivid Violet Metallic — joining the existing Metallic Black. Meanwhile, the standard variant adds a new Metallic Silver Cyan colour, reinforcing its aggressive street presence.
Yamaha MT15 Ver 2.0: Engine and Performance Highlights
Powering the Yamaha MT15 Ver 2.0 is a 155cc liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). Further, generating 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox with Assist and Slipper Clutch offers smooth shifts and prevents wheel hop during hard downshifts.
Also new to the package is the Traction Control System, giving riders extra confidence across different road conditions. The bike retains its Delta Box frame, MotoGP-style aluminium swingarm, and a lightweight body of just 141 kg — ensuring nimble handling and an enjoyable ride through city traffic.
