BSA Bantam 350: A Modern Classic Motorcycle

BSA Bantam 350

Reviving a legendary name from motorcycling history, BSA Motorcycles has officially launched the all-new BSA Bantam 350 in India. The much-anticipated motorcycle blends vintage charm with modern engineering, targeting enthusiasts who crave a balance of heritage and performance.

BSA Bantam 350: A Modern Take on a British Icon

The BSA Bantam 350 draws inspiration from the classic Bantam series, once one of the most popular British motorcycles of the mid-20th century. While the original Bantam was a lightweight 125cc to 175cc two-stroke, the new 350 is a completely reengineered four-stroke single-cylinder roadster designed for today’s urban riders and weekend cruisers.

The design maintains a vintage look with its iconic round headlamps, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, ribbed leather seat, and minimalistic bodywork—perfect for fans of classic motorcycles. At the same time, it features modern touches like an LCD instrument cluster, LED lighting, and a BS6-compliant fuel-injected engine.

Performance and Features

The BSA Bantam 350 comes with a 349cc air-cooled engine, enhanced for strong low-end torque, further making it a perfect choice for urban rides and light touring. The engine delivers around 20-22 bhp and 28 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 5-speed gearbox.

The bike rides on 18-inch wheels with telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes with dual-channel ABS for added safety.

Price, Availability, and Competition

BSA has priced the Bantam 350 competitively at ₹2.19 lakh (ex-showroom), further making it an appealing choice in the modern classic segment. Bookings are now open across select premium dealers in metro cities, with deliveries expected to begin from mid-August 2025.

It goes head-to-head with bikes like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Jawa 42, and Honda CB350 H’ness. Further, offering a unique proposition with British heritage and retro aesthetics.

Verdict on BSA Bantam 350

The BSA Bantam 350 marks BSA’s serious return to the Indian motorcycle scene. With its authentic retro design and modern-day practicality, it aims to carve a niche among style-conscious riders and collectors alike.

Stay tuned as BSA plans to expand its dealer network and possibly introduce more variants in the near future.
