Bugatti has introduced the Bugatti Programme Solitaire, a bespoke automotive venture dedicated to crafting ultra-exclusive, one-of-one masterpieces. The debut creation, Brouillard, draws inspiration from Ettore Bugatti’s beloved horse of the same name, showing the founder’s passion for beauty, speed, and grace. This new program extends beyond the already rare Bugatti Sur Mesure, offering clients unique levels of personalization and craftsmanship.
Bugatti Programme Solitaire Redefines Bespoke Luxury
The Bugatti Programme Solitaire brings back the marque’s rich coachbuilding legacy. Which was originally shaped by Jean Bugatti through masterpieces like the Type 57 SC Atlantic. Brouillard updates this legacy for today, built on the most advanced version of the W16 platform, producing 1,600 PS. Its design echoes the sculptural elegance of a thoroughbred horse, with fluid, smooth, flowing lines replace sharp angles to highlight motion and power.
Bugatti Design Director Frank Heyl explained that the key challenge was to balance the hypercar’s significant aerodynamic and thermodynamic requirements with the Brouillard’s refined, simple design. Functional elements like the fixed ducktail wing and rear diffuser seamlessly blend into the flowing bodywork. Further, ensuring both aesthetic and performance quality.
New Era in Bugatti
Inside, Brouillard displays the highest standards of artisan craftsmanship. Highlights include Paris-sourced custom tartan fabrics, green-tinted carbon fiber, and a glass roof that floods the cabin with light. Fine horse embroidery and a gear shifter holding a tiny Brouillard sculpture add a unique and classy feel
Commissioned by a passionate Bugatti collector, the car unites automotive craft with the Bugatti family’s legacy in design and sculpture. The Bugatti Programme Solitaire will produce no more than two creations annually. Further, each tailored to the vision of its owner while preserving Bugatti’s uncompromising commitment to performance, quality, and design.
The Bugatti Brouillard will make its global debut at Monterey Car Week. Especially, marking the beginning of a new chapter in bespoke automotive history.
