Cadillac Unveils 2026 IMSA GTP Liveries

Cadillac GTP 2026

Cadillac GTP 2026 preparations have officially begun as Cadillac Racing, along with Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing and Cadillac Whelen, unveiled the liveries of its three Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) racecars for the upcoming IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. The reveal comes just days ahead of the Roar Before the 24 test event, which leads into the season-opening 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 24–25.

Cadillac Racing enters the 2026 season with strong momentum, having secured four overall victories and 12 podium finishes at the Rolex 24 over the years. The American manufacturer continues its factory-backed GTP effort with Wayne Taylor Racing returning for its second season and Action Express Racing extending its long-standing partnership for a 15th consecutive year, campaigning a GM prototype in IMSA.

Cadillac GTP 2026 – Livery Updates and Team Line-ups

For 2026, Cadillac has introduced subtle yet striking visual updates across its three V-Series.R entries. While the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R retains its familiar livery, the two Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing cars receive notable changes. The No. 10 transitions from chrome blue to a metallic blue finish with white accents. While the No. 40 adopts a black livery accented with white detailing. Across all three cars, the U.S. flag has been repositioned to the front fender, aligning with updated design standards.

The GTP entries continue to be backed by major U.S.-based sponsors. Whelen Engineering enters its ninth year as the primary sponsor of the No. 31 Action Express Racing car. Further, reinforcing a partnership rooted in performance, reliability, and innovation. Meanwhile, DEX Imaging remains the primary sponsor for both the No. 10 and No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing entries.

Cadillac GTP 2026 – Drivers, Technology and Strategy

Cadillac Racing, now in its fourth year of GTP competition, ended the 2025 season on a high by winning the final two races. Eight drivers return for the 2026 campaign, including Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque, Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz as full-season drivers. The endurance races will also feature standout names such as Will Stevens, Colton Herta, Frederik Vesti and Connor Zilisch.

At the heart of the program is the Cadillac V-Series.R, powered by a purpose-built 5.5-litre DOHC V8 engine. This marks Cadillac’s third-generation prototype and its first hybrid-electrified racecar, co-developed with Dallara. The model represents the fifth generation of the V-Series, blending motorsport performance with design cues inspired by Cadillac’s production vehicles.

For 2026, Cadillac Racing will also align its EVO timing with aerodynamic homologation and introduce a new brand logo. Further, ensuring visual and philosophical consistency with the upcoming Cadillac Formula 1® Team.

Conclusion

The Cadillac GTP 2026 program reflects the brand’s century-long commitment to motorsport as a proving ground for innovation and performance. With refreshed liveries, a strong driver roster and continued technical evolution. Cadillac positions itself as a serious contender for overall victories as competition intensifies in IMSA’s top-tier endurance racing class.
