Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally Review and Specifications

Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally

Ducati unveils the new Multistrada V4 Rally as the ultimate long-distance companion. The Multistrada V4 Rally now offers an 8-gallon fuel tank, Adaptive DSS EVO suspension with extended travel, and a state-of-the-art electronics suite. It delivers 170 hp from the Granturismo V4 engine, tied to a counter-rotating crankshaft, and promises valve maintenance only every 37,000 miles plus a 4-year warranty.
The new Rally raises the bar on versatility, safety, and comfort. It adds innovations like an Automatic Lowering Device (ALD), a raised swingarm pivot, and an oversized rear disc. These ensure that riders get both confidence and flexibility over varied terrain.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally: Built for any terrain

The Multistrada V4 Rally is tailored to meet the demands of serious adventure touring. It inherits Ducati’s first MotoGP-derived V4 engine in the Multistrada line, along with radar systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection.

Its semi-active suspension offers long travel (200 mm) managed by Adaptive DSS EVO. The system adjusts hydraulics based on riding style and road condition. The bike can even change suspension settings in transit, independent of selected riding mode. A new Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm refines the ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control strategies by simulating data from 70 virtual sensors.

A standout feature is the Electronic Combined Braking System, which now supports both front-to-rear and rear-to-front strategies. This helps reduce pitching under braking, especially with a passenger.

Advanced safety tech also includes Forward Collision Warning, Ducati Cornering Lights, an updated headlight cluster, and a “Coming Home” function that keeps low beams on briefly after shutdown.

At low speeds, the new Automatic Lowering Device drops the bike height when speed falls below 6 mph, returning it to normal ride height automatically once speed recovers with distinct on-road and off-road strategies.

Comfort, engine & chassis upgrades

Rider and passenger comfort see major upgrades in the Multistrada V4 Rally. The windshield is now 40 mm wider and 20 mm taller for better wind protection. Pannier mounts are repositioned for more legroom. There are options for different seat heights and a lowered suspension kit for custom ergonomics.

Loading is easier, thanks to a redesigned center stand and standard heated handgrips adjustable across five levels.

Under the hood, the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine produces 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 91 lb-ft (≈ 124 Nm) at 9,000 rpm. The linear torque curve smooths power delivery. Moreover, it features extended rear cylinder deactivation, which helps in fuel efficiency at low revs.

A compactified aluminum monocoque frame stays light yet strong. Engineers have mounted the swingarm pivot higher to create a stronger anti-squat effect under load. Braking sees an upgrade with a larger 280 mm rear disc. Spoked, tubeless wheels are standard, equipped with TPMS.

Ducati offers the 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally in a single trim, Adventure Travel & Radar. Further, it includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Warning, aluminum side cases, and heated seats for both rider and passenger.

A wide range of accessories complements it: multiple seat options, windshields, luggage modules, and Ducati clothing tailored to touring comfort. The aluminum panniers now have keyless locks even off the bike.

Further, the bike is available in two liveries: Ducati Red / Brushed Aluminum with black wheels, or Jade Green / Brushed Aluminum with gold wheels.

India pricing & market outlook

In India, Ducati positions the Multistrada V4 Rally as a premium model. The ex-showroom price is expected to range from ₹29,72,000 to ₹30,02,000.
For comparison, Ducati prices the standard Multistrada V4 from ₹24,56,300 (ex-showroom) in India.

Given the Rally’s advanced features and touring focus, Ducati expects it to appeal strongly to India’s adventure-touring riders, especially those aiming for long, multi-terrain journeys where reliability, comfort, and tech matter.
