We need more fuel-efficient, budget-friendly vehicles that offer a decent amount of the latest features. We are constantly on a hunt for the perfect bang for the buck. Now with the efficiency, features and latest technology, we also want the vehicle to feel decently quick not by supercar standards, but quick enough to bring a smile on your face after you get out of the busy city streets and finally get a chance to punch the pedal.
All About Tata Altroz iTurbo
Tata has kept this in mind and launched the all-new Altroz iTurbo in the country and it will be available in three variants namely, XT, XZ and XZ+. The XZ+ variant will be Rs 40,000 – 45,000 more expensive than the previous top of the line, XZ(O) variant. The iTurbo will be a tidy bit interesting with a peppy turbocharged petrol engine. Earlier you could only choose from two engines options, a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel.
The Altroz is already a stunning vehicle and the all-new iTurbo gets a few aesthetic updates. The all-new iTurbo features a gorgeous shade of Harbour Blue paint job and a turbo badging on the boot lid. Apart from these minor changes, the exterior remains the same.
A 1.2-litre Turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine powers the Tata Altroz iTurbo, producing 110 bhp and 140 Nm of torque. The company offers the iTurbo only with a 5-speed manual. The iTurbo returns a fuel economy of 18.30 kmpl which is great, you get the power you need on those open stretches of asphalt, through the twists and turns of a smooth back road and the fuel efficiency to crawl through traffic and the busy city streets.
• The Tata Altroz line-up will now start at ₹5.70 lakh for the petrol XE variant (₹ 25,000 higher).
• The iTurbo range will start with the XT variant, priced at ₹7.74 lakh.
• Tata prices the top-of-the-line Altroz iTurbo diesel XZ+ at ₹9.46 lakh.
