Three new 2023 bike launches have taken place in the Indian two wheeler market, each with its unique features and capabilities. Bajaj Auto has launched the NS 160 and NS 200, which are part of their popular NS (Naked Sport) series. While Honda has released an updated version of their popular commuter bike, the Shine 100.
Let’s take a closer look at the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar and Honda Shine. Focusing on each of these new bikes’ upgrades and what they have to offer.
Bajaj Pulsar NS200:
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is a charming street bike that would cost around ₹ 1,44, 442 Lakhs. The bike is available in 2 variants and 2 striking colors (Ebony Black and Pearl Metallic White).
– Performance:
The NS200 features pest-in-class performance like no other. The manufacturer’s patented Triple Spark DTS-i 4V engine produces a whopping power of 18 kW (24.5 PS) and 18.74 Nm of torque. Additionally, the bike is backed with an advanced Liquid Cooling system that ensures thrilling performance even at high temperatures and high speeds.

The naked street fighter NS200 now comes with an aggressive and muscular stance. Complementing its design, the piercing sharp blade-like speed line embodies the sporty stance of the muscular street fighter. Take complete control of the NS200 with the Dual Channel ABS. The bike’s ABS feature ensures that the wheels do not lock or skid on any kind of surface. Additionally, the bike comes with a precision braking system that exhibits a 300 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc brake.
Bajaj Pulsar NS160:
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is another street bike that would cost around ₹ 1,34, 675 Lakhs. The street bikes available in only one variant and 2 attractive colors (Ebony Black and Pearl Metallic White).
– Performance:
The Pulsar NS160’s comes with the twin spark DTS-i FI engine generating 12.7 kW (17.2 PS) power and 14.6 Nm of peak torque. The bike also comes with an advanced Oil Cooling system that perfectly ensures thrilling performance at high temperatures and high speeds. Furthermore, the bike is powered by a 1 cylinder and comes with a fuel efficiency/mileage of around 45 kmpl.

Honda Shine 100
Honda has introduced its most affordable motorcycle for the Indian market – Honda Shine 100 costing ₹ 64,900. The bike is available in only one variant and 5 captivating color combos. The Black base clubbed with Red, Blue, Green, Gold, and Grey stripes. Bookings for the motorcycle have already been set in motion and the deliveries are expected to begin within the next two months.
– Performance:
The Honda Shine 100 has been backed with a 100cc, single-cylinder and comes with an air-cooled motor that produces a whopping 7.61 bhp and 8.05 Nm. This motor has been further placed in a tubular frame and is meticulously mated to a four-speed gearbox. The Shine 100’s motor thus becomes completely OBD-2 compliant and can practically monitor real-time emissions precisely.
– Design:
The bike comes with all-black alloy wheels and further gets a black headlamp cowl. Along with a stunning chrome exhaust muffler cover, a black engine casing, and an aluminum grab rail, among other features.

The Honda Shine 100 comes with drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels, providing effective stopping power. Moreover, it also comes with tubeless tyres that in turn provide a better grip on the road and reduce the risk of sudden puncture.
