Introduction
In India we want our purchases to be worth it, we do make our purchase decisions wisely. However, when it comes to purchasing a new automobile it must tick the following boxes, most importantly it must be reasonably priced, it must be fuel-efficient, it must be extremely reliable and be able to fit a decent-sized family of maybe 5 minimum. Keeping this in mind automakers have been working on creating the perfect vehicle to match these requirements.
Renault may have just nailed it with the new Triber, a perfect family vehicle that is reasonably priced and seats 7 passengers. The all-new Triber is a result of the joint project between the Renault teams in India and France. The super spacious Renault Triber is an important model for the French automaker satisfying over 70,000 customers. Still talking size, the new Triber is 1739 mm wide and 1643 mm tall which is as big as a Suzuki Brezza if not bigger. Its wheelbase is a whopping 2636 mm long which is great for a vehicle of this kind.
Coming down to the exterior, the Triber looks particularly attractive and appealing with its SUV like styling. For 2021, a bunch of new features and options are available making the new Triber slightly more stylish. A fully loaded Triber RXZ will now feature dual-tone colours with the roof and wing mirrors finished in black contrasting the body paint. The optional contrasting roof will cost you an additional ₹ 17,000 over the standard RXZ. The new Triber will be offered in 5 attractive colours namely, Metal Mustard, Electric Blue, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White and a new shade of Cedar Brown.

Cabin
While virtually most of the cabin remains unchanged in the new Triber, there are in fact a few changes for instance the Triber RXT now gets steering mounted audio and phone controls. The RXZ trim variants will also feature a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The cabin is decently sized and can easily accommodate 7 adult passengers. Also with a boot capacity of 625 litres, the Triber does extremely well in its segment in the 5-seater configuration. Renault also ensures excellent safety by offering 4 airbags.
The all-new Triber will be offered in 4 trims – RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ. Each trim has been priced based on customer requirements which means you could get exactly what you’re looking for in your Triber.

Engine and transmission
The Triber will be offered with the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual or an EASY-R Automatic. The tiny 3-cylinder produces a good 72 hp while being economical. Renault will introduce the 100 hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol from the Kiger and Magnite into the new Triber.
