The most celebrated luxury carmaker BMW has officially launched the up-leveled version of its most popular M-engineered car – the BMW M340i xDrive exclusively in India. The company has officially stated that the car will come with an upgraded design and will host even more thrilling dynamics. Moreover, the car has been loaded with modern features that enhance its overall appeal.

The facelifted BMW M340i xDrive features include the latest kidney grille, a better-designed front bumper, a new set of alloys along with LED DRLs, among others. One of the greatest highlights of the car is that it now boasts an updated single-piece curved dashboard display that comes with a fully digital cluster on the right side. It also features a 14.9-inch touchscreen display for the comprehensive infotainment screen.

Under the hood, the sporty BMW M340i xDrive is a 3.0-liter inline-six that produces 382bhp and 500 Nm of torque and has been seamlessly mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The whopping power produced inside the mill will be quickly sent to all the wheels via the BMW’s smart xDrive technology.

The BMW M340i xDrive gets multiple distinct exterior design changes in line with the German auto manufacturer’s new design language. The car’s exteriors have been framed by a single-surround, while the design-oriented kidney grille has been smartly linked to the sleep LED headlights that have been complemented with blue accents.

In line with the M aerodynamics package, the car soulfully features a body-colored M rear spoiler on the boot lid! Moreover, the BMW M340i xDrive’s exteriors have been strongly complemented by the 19-inch M light alloy wheels that have been diamond-polished to mark its bold presence on the road!


The interiors of the BMW M340i xDrive exude the essence of the utmost luxury and comfort, all at the same time! The car boasts its best-in-class BMW Curved Display that has been meticulously crafted into the cockpit area giving it a floating touch. The upper section of the dashboard has been meticulously upgraded to host the new screens. It also features slimmer air-con vents, while the lower section and central console remain untouched.

The BMW M340i xDrive also features sporty seats that have been accentuated with the M-specific upholstery. That’s in a Sensatec/Alcantara trim providing an excellent range of adjustment.

The interiors of the car also boast ambient lighting features that host 6 dimmable light designs. That never fail to create an atmosphere for every in-cabin mood. Moreover, it features a large glass sunroof, and a 40:20:40 split backrest. Alongside the Harman’s Kardon Surround System with 16 loudspeakers. The BMW M340i xDrive is powered by a 3.0-liter, inline-six turbocharged petrol engine. Further, its paired with an innovative 48V mild-hybrid system. This system comprehensively produces a whopping 382 hp and 500 Nm of torque. However, the power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The new BMW M340i xDrive can also sprint from 0-100kph in a claimed 4.4sec. BMW also mentioned that the M340i will have the first high-performance engine that will be made exclusively in India. It also features some of the best mechanical upgrades over the standard 3 Series. Which includes a lowered, M-specific suspension, an M Sport differential, M Sport brakes along with an M Sport exhaust.


The car – BMW M340i xDrive features the most sought-after all-wheel drive technology i.e. the BMW xDrive.
