(TPEM). A trailblazer in India’s EV revolution, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaboratively establish public charging stations across the country. This groundbreaking partnership seeks to capitalize on BPCL’s extensive fuel station network. Further, TPEM’s insights garnered from over 1.15 lakh Tata EVs traversing Indian roads. Moreover, intending to position chargers strategically at locations frequently visited by Tata EV owners.

Objective of Collaboration

The primary objective of this collaborative agreement is to enhance the overall experience for EV owners across India. Beyond merely facilitating convenient charging options, BPCL and TPEM are delving into the potential of introducing an efficient payment system. Further, exploring simplified payments of a co-branded RFID card for Tata EV users. Moreover, with the broader aim of encouraging increased adoption of electric vehicles throughout the nation.

BPCL’s Commitment to Sustainability

BPCL, with its vast network comprising more than 21,000 fuel stations nationwide, is steadfast in its commitment to a sustainable future. The company is strategically aligning its investments and environmental goals to pioneer the transition to electric mobility. As part of this commitment, BPCL is gearing up to install an impressive 7,000 electric vehicle charging stations by the next year. Addressing the concerns of EV owners regarding range anxiety. BPCL has initiated the establishment of over 90 Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Highway Corridors across the nation. These corridors are strategically designed to ensure a fast-charging station approximately every 100 kilometers on both sides of major highways. Especially, covering a vast expanse of more than 30,000 kilometers. This extensive network guarantees enhanced EV convenience and accessibility, alleviating concerns about long-distance travel for electric vehicle owners.
