Jaguar Opens One Of Europe’s Largest EV Charging Hubs

International: Jaguar has shown its support for the establishment of one of Europe’s largest electric vehicle charging hubs. Especially, due to its strategic locations which is near several of its manufacturing and office facilities. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP inaugurated this EV charging hub, situated at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

This state-of-the-art facility will boast a total of 180 charging points. Further, comprising 16 high-speed 300kW DC chargers for 30 dedicated bays and 150 7kW AC charging points. Impressively, the hub’s energy comes from renewable sources, including a solar panel canopy.

In August, a fleet of 32 Jaguar I-PACE electric vehicles was deployed at the facility for rigorous testing, focusing on power distribution, rapid charging capabilities, and vehicle connectivity. The NEC hub, a valuable addition, complements the existing network of over 500,000 chargers throughout the UK and Europe. Basically, all accessible through the Jaguar Charging app.
