News: TATA Nexon EV catches Fire

A video involving a Tata Nexon catching fire has been doing the rounds on Social Media. This incident took place in Vasai West, Mumbai near panchvati hotel and after several electric scooters catching fire this is the first electric car case in India. Further, the Nexon EV used a normal slow charger installed at the office of the car owner.

The Tata Nexon EV has been the most successful electric car with highest sale in India. Tata Motors has sold nearly 30,000 units of Tata Nexon EV with an average sale of 2500 to 3000 monthly. Moreover, as the vehicle started flashing warning signs and made some weird sounds. The car owner immediately halted and moved out of the car. All of this happened in about a 5km distance after starting the journey. Later, the firefighters controlled situation.
