Stuttgart, April 15, 2024 – Retro Classics Stuttgart, a gathering of classic car and sports car enthusiasts will host Porsche’s anniversary celebration titled ‘Beyond Performance – 50 Years of Porsche Turbo’. The event, set to take place from April 25 to 28, 2024. Further, promises to be a showcase of automotive history and innovation.
Turbo Talk with Stéphane Ortelli
On Saturday, April 27th, at 2 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a Turbo Talk session. Moreover, featuring Thomas Krickelberg and Frank Jung from Porsche. Alongside the esteemed Monegasque racing driver Stéphane Ortelli. Ortelli, a Le Mans winner. Further, they will share insights into the Turbo’s legacy and achievements.
50 Years of Porsche Turbo Evolution at Retro Classics
Porsche enthusiasts will have the chance to witness the evolution of the Turbo. Especially, starting with the iconic 911 Turbo ‘No. 1’, an exclusive model gifted to Louise Piëch in 1974. This rare gem, equipped with a 176 kW (240 PS) engine, marks the genesis of Porsche’s Turbo lineage.

Attendees can marvel at a collection of rare Porsche models, including the 911 Turbo 3.0 Coupé from 1975. Further, showcasing the early craftsmanship and design ethos of the Turbo series. Another highlight is the 911 GT2, a testament to Porsche’s relentless pursuit of performance and innovation.

Porsche will also showcase the 911 Turbo S ‘Duet’, a collaborative effort with aircraft manufacturer Embraer. This limited-edition model, inspired by the Phenom 300E business jet, combines automotive luxury with aviation aesthetics.
