In an effort to promote a clean and green environment, Tata Motors and Uber have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The deliveries of these cars to Uber’s fleet partners will start in a phased manner from this month.

Tata Motors is a leading automobile manufacturer in India and has already rolled out over 50,000 Tata EVs to date in the personal and fleet segments. Moreover, it comes with two range options – 315km and 277km (ARAI certified range under test conditions). Further, it has a high energy density battery of 26 kWh and 25.5 kWh. It is available with fast-charging from 0-80% in 59 mins and 110 mins, respectively.

It also has the convenience of normal charging from any 15 A plug point. The car comes with zero tail-pipe emission, a single speed automatic transmission, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard across variants. It also has premium interiors with automatic climate control and Electric Blue accents across its interior and exterior, which will make it stand out from other Tata cars. Uber has committed to 100% of its rides taking place in zero-emission vehicles, on public transit, or with micro-mobility by 2040.
