The most awaited ‘Auto Expo’ is finally back after 3 long consecutive years. The 16th edition of the power-packed event – Auto Expo 2023 (Components Show) commenced on January 11, 2023, and concluded on January 15, 2023, at ‘Pragati Maidan’ in New Delhi. According to the reports, over 800 companies from around 15 countries participated in the magnificent exhibition this year.
This time, the Auto Expo was much larger than the previous editions. The Expo 2023 was spread across a wide area of over 60,000 square meters. In addition to this, over 800 companies from about 15 countries and 6 country pavilions namely – France, Germany, Japan, Poland, South Korea & the UK were exhibited at the expo.

EV’S ON THE SPOTLIGHT
The Auto Expo 2023 highlighted several new-gen model displays across the EV segments as well. One of the prime focuses of this Auto Expo was precisely the electric mobility segment where every brand that participated had to have at least one electric car in either the concept form or the production form. The Seal – BYD
The celebrated Chinese EV giant – the BYD (Build Your Dreams) recently entered the evolving Indian passenger car segment. At the Auto Expo 2023, the giant exclusively unveiled the ‘Seal’ premium sedan and reportedly said that they will officially commence the sales for the car in India around the end of 2023.
Hyundai Ioniq 6
Next up, is the exclusive launch by Hyundai namely Ioniq 6! This stylish EV car takes exquisite design cues from the most sought-after ‘Prophecy’ concept. The Ioniq 6 also boasts a drag coefficient of around 0.21Cd. Further, complementing the modern flush door handles and cameras in place of the traditional wing mirrors.
MG4
MG Motor innovatively launched the all electric MG4 offering a claimed range of about 450 km. The all-new MG4 EV hatchback is reportedly said to be the first model that is supported by the company’s brand-new modular platform. Further, marking its exclusive debut in India all the way through the Auto Expo 2023. The car comprehensively hosts two battery packs including – 51kWh and 64kWh.
Tata Tiago EV Blitz
The latest launch of the Tiago EV Blitz at the Expo is essentially the sportier version of the standard Tiago EV. The manufacturer did not officially release details about the EV hatchback’s powertrain, however, the car gets top-notch cosmetic upgrades that undoubtedly enhance its sporting character. Moreover, some of the Important cosmetic changes include the omission of the standard blue accents. That are generally found on other EV products from Tata.
Additionally, the leading automobile manufacturer – Tata has mentioned that the car will be exclusively launched in FY 2024.
MARUTI SUZUKI
Maruti Suzuki introduced a comprehensive series of unveilings at the 2023 Auto Expo and commenced with the introduction of the new Maruti eVX concept alongside the much-anticipated launch of the Jimny and the Baleno-based Fronx.

1. The eVX Electric SUV Concept
The Auto Expo 2023 witnessed the exclusive global premiere of the eVX, which is reportedly an electric SUV concept. Alongside the eVX, Maruti also officially unveiled the most awaited ‘Jimny’ at the Auto Expo 2023. The Jimny made a successful global debut in a unique ‘five-door’ avatar clubbed with the four-wheel-drive as standard. The bookings for the car have already commenced through the official Nexa chain for a price ranging from Rs. 10 lakhs onwards.
3. The Exquisite Matte Editions Of The Maruti Grand Vitara And Brezza
The matte-finished avatars of the bold Brezza and Grand Vitara set themselves as one of the most desirable showcases from Maruti Suzuki’s existing lineup. Though, at the event, the manufacturer made no comments about the launch of this exterior package into the market, we hope they do it quickly and ace the segment like no other.
4. The Flex-Fuel Wagon R
Maruti Suzuki also highlighted a prototype of its next-gen flex-fuel Wagon R at the 2023 Auto Expo. Moreover, its reportedly said to be a prototype that can seamlessly run on an E20-E85 ethanol-blended fuel.
KIA
Bringing innovation onto the front, Kia undoubtedly aced the list. Kia launched the best-in-class Kia Carens Police Car along with an Ambulance that stands as the modified versions of the standard Kia Carens! The manufacturer did not officially reveal the featured modifications of the car at the Expo, leaving all the visitors curious enough!
