Volkswagen Passenger Cars India launched the , mid last month announced the launch of its new global sedan – the Virtus that’s striking, and exhilarating with German engineering. Moreover, The Virtus is the 2nd product from the brand, under its India 2.0 project.

The New Virtus symbolizes a dynamic and emotional design language of a Volkswagen. Moreover, built on the core DNA of the brand representing superior build quality, safety, and a fun-to-drive experience. The Virtus is the longest car in the segment (4,561 mm) with cabin and boot space of 521ltr.

Features

The Virtus comes with the premium interiors and striking exteriors. Its equipped with a host of technology, connectivity and entertainment features. An electric sunroof, the 20.32 cm digital cockpit, 25.65 cm large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless App-Connect via Apple CarplayTM and Android AutoTM, wireless mobile charging, KESSY (keyless entry and engine start), smart-touch Climatronic AC and front ventilated leather seats.

Moreover, MyVolkswagen Connect App and the standard 8 Speakers with immenc3e sound are some of the many features that impress and appeal the aspirational Indian buyer. Volkswagen has always considered Safety as the top priority. Hence, the new Virtus comes with 40+ active and passive safety features, comprising upto 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), multi-collision brakes, a reverse camera, an integrated LED headlamps with LED DRLs, ISOFIX and hill-hold control among other features.

Engine

A true marvel of German engineering offering 1.5L TSI EVO engine with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT). The 1.0L TSI engine comes with idle Start/Stop with 6-speed manual and automatic torque converter or 7-speed DSG transmission option. Moreover, the Virtus generates maximum power of 115PS at 5000-5500RPM and 150PS at 5000-6000RPM. And maximum torque of 178NM at 1750-4500RPM and 250NM at 1600-3500RPM.

The New Virtus shall be available in 6 variants with vibrant and exciting colors like the Wild Cherry Red, Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel Grey, Candy White, Curcuma Yellow, and Rising Blue.
The Virtus base model Comfortline is priced from INR. 11,21,900/- whereas the top-end GT Plus is priced from INR. 17,91,900/-
