BMW M 1000 RR has hit the ground in India and is now available. The BMW M superbike will be serviced and sold to Indian customers through all its authorized dealer networks of BMW Motorrad India. The new BMW M series is an upgrade to the previous version of the BMW S 1000 RR motorbike. M is the strongest letter in the world and the brand-new series of 2021 BMW M 1000 RR is a pure racing masterpiece built to showcase power, performance, and exclusivity.

The BMW M 1000 RR is a race machine that is built for a purpose that is to race and win. A perfect blend of light blue, dark blue, and red. It has the original motorsport colour with a black colour fuel cap and a granite grey engine cover. The aerodynamics of the vehicle is built for providing maximum efficiency at high speeds.

Its standard 999cc water-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine comes with BMW ShiftCam technology that has 4 titanium valves which help maintain the torque curve even at medium or low speed. The ShiftCam technology introduced by the BMW M 1000 RR is new. It reduces emission and fuel consumption levels, optimizes running, smoothness, and refinement.

The frame of the BMW M 1000 RR is lightweight yet durable. It has a flex frame that balances the weight of the engine and the design of the bike. The fuel tank is leaner, and the sitting section is trimmed to give greater comfort to the rider providing them a better knee grip. There are 4 different modes in the new BMW M namely the Rain, Road, and Dynamic for the street riders, and the racers, there is the Riding Mode Pro option (Race Pro 1 -3). The riding control functions are customizable like for the Engine braking, Acceleration, Wheelie Control, ABS, and ABS Pro in a way to fit the rider’s capability and riding style.

There is no doubt the new BMW R is superfast. It is built to take on the streets, and the racetracks with ease. The new BMW M 1000 RR has a front inverted travelling fork suspension – 45 mm with adjustable compression. The rear wheel suspension has an adjustable preload and an aluminium swingarm. The wheels are standard M carbon wheels with 4 piston fixed calliper disc brakes (2 ✕ 320 mm). The rear wheels have 2 pistons fixed calliper single 220 mm disc brakes. The mounting point of the callipers in the rear brake is under the swing arm which makes it easy to remove and put it back which helps engineers maintaining the superbike during a Grand Prix event or any other racing competition.

The new BMW M 1000 RR has a taller windscreen that provides better protection while riding at top speeds. Another crucial addition to the M RR 1000 is the winglets which give the racer the required edge while cornering opponents or sharp turns at top speeds. It helps to keep the front wheel latched to the ground and provides greater grip and accelerated movement. Thanks to the winglets the DTC (Dynamic Traction Control now plays a limited role.

The BMW M winglets are tested on racetracks and BMW wind tunnels. It exerts a downforce of 4 kg at 140 KMPH, between 7 to 10 kg at 200 KMPH, and a weight of 16.3 kg at a speed of 300 KMPH. These winglets subsequently reduce lap completion speed by 0.7 to 1 sec. It gives an uncompromisable edge that may be crucial during tight races or close lap finishes. The M RR comes with an all-titanium exhaust and other standard components that improve its overall compatibility and ergonomics.

The asymmetrical design and composition of the vehicle give it a powerful sporty look. BMW M 1000 RR is 848 mm wide, 1197 mm tall, and has a length of 2073 mm. It has a deadweight of 192 Kg with a fuel capacity of 16.5L Its slipper multi-plate clutch, excellent dynamics, and engine performance with a 6-speed gearbox help it to reach a maximum speed of 306 KMPH. The 212 hp engine generates a torque of 113 nm at 11000 RPM. (15,100 max rpm) This powerful beast can get from 0 to 100 KMPH in 3 seconds and from 0 to 200 KMPH in less than 7 seconds. The BMW M 1000 RR bike comes with optional and competition packages that help you choose and modify the vehicle in the best way and get the desired outcome from the bike.

The BMW S 1000 RR was priced at an ex-showroom price of ₹19.5 lakhs – ₹23.8 lakhs. The BMW M 1000 RR will cost you in between ₹42 Lakhs and ₹45 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The BMW M 1000 RR competition sports bike model being costlier among the two. The new superbike comes with a 3-year unlimited KM (extendable up to 5 years) warranty. Also, there is a 24/7 *365 days package that gives you roadside assistance when your motorbike is in a towing situation or case of breakdown.
