The All-New Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

• Introduction 

We’re all familiar with Porsche’s all-electric sedan, the Taycan, for 2022 however Porsche has made a few changes and made the Taycan a little more practical in the form of the Taycan Cross Turismo.

The Cross Turismo now has a long wagon-like roof that is one of the major changes on the outside, sleek wagons like the Cross Turismo look absolutely stunning and there’s no denying that. There is something special about the Cross Turismo wagon, a blend of practicality and go-anywhere ability. The boosted ride height compared to the sedan, the robust wheel-arch trim, distinctive front and rear aprons and side skirts enable the Cross Turismo to leave the tarmac and explore the rough patches of land. If you opt for the Off-Road and Off-Road Design packages, there is an increase in the ride height by an extra 10 mm. You also get special flaps at the corner of the front and rear bumpers along with the extra ride height. Customers can choose between the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, 4S Cross Turismo, Turbo Cross Turismo and Turbo S Cross Turismo.

• Cabin and Special Features 

The cabin in the Cross Turismo is exactly similar to the sedan with a few minor tweaks. The longer and higher roofline gives rear occupants an additional 3.62″ of headroom and the occupants in the front get an additional 0.35″. With the back seats upright, the cargo area expands upto 15.7 cubic feet in the Cross Turismo 4S and 4S variants compared to the 14.3 cubic feet in the Turbo and Turbo S. However, with the seats down, storage capacity expands to a whopping 42.8 cubic feet. All Cross Turismo variants come with a panoramic glass sunroof, roof rails and Porsche’s larger capacity “Performance Battery Plus” as standard, that’s pretty darn good.

Porsche is also launching two eBikes with the Cross Turismo that customers can opt for to complete the Cross Turismo experience. The street-intended eBike Sport for the smooth and windy canyons or city streets and off-road-ready eBike Cross to enjoy through those rough trails with ease.

• Performance Specs 

The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo will produce 375 hp, 469 hp on overboost with launch control and go from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 137 mph.

The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo will produce 483 hp, 563 hp on overboost with launch control and go from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph.

The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo will produce 616 hp, 670 hp on overboost with launch control and go from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.

The Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo will produce 616 hp, 750 hp on overboost with launch control and go from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds hitting a top speed of 155 mph.

• Conclusion 

Not only is the Taycan Cross Turismo the most practical Taycan, it could be the best value for money.
