Key Features of acti.ev Architecture

The acti.ev architecture is meticulously crafted around four fundamental pillars: Performance, Technology, Modularity, and Space Efficiency.

Layer 1 – Powertrain

The heart of acti.ev lies in its optimized battery pack design. Especially, the boasting cells tested to advanced global standards that result in a remarkable 10% improvement in energy density. With multiple range options spanning from 300 km to 600 km, customers have the flexibility to choose the ideal drivetrain option for their needs, be it AWD, RWD, or FWD. Furthermore, acti.ev supports 7.2kW to 11kW on-board chargers for AC fast charging and DC fast charging up to 150kW, adding approximately 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Layer 2 – Chassis

The second layer of the architecture accommodates various body styles with a reinforced structure designed. Especially to meet future safety protocols. acti.ev maximizes cabin space with a flat floor and an additional front trunk (frunk). Further, enhancing the overall cabin experience. The lower center of gravity contributes to improved driving dynamics and handling.

Layer 3 – Electrical Architecture

acti.ev embraces future-ready scalability with enhanced computing power and ADAS level 2 capabilities. Prepared for ADAS L2+, it ensures elevated safety and navigation standards. The architecture’s 5G readiness delivers advanced network speeds and seamless connectivity. Further, supporting Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle Charging (V2V) technology.

Layer 4 – Cloud Architecture

Built on a scalable cloud architecture, the fourth layer promises an enriched user experience, featuring Arcade.ev, an in-car app suite. Additionally, acti.ev is equipped with state-of-the-art solutions, offering superior connectivity and advanced over-the-air updates for software and other features.

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility’s (TPEM) acti.ev architecture signals a new era of intelligent and connected electric vehicles. Moreover, setting the stage for a sustainable and technologically advanced automotive future in India.
