Tata Motors Earns the KSEB Contract For EV Portfolio
Kerala KSEB to Get 65 Electric Vehicles by Tata Motors

Tata Motors India’s leading automotive company moves yet another State with its EV portfolio. Tata Motors earns the contract of 65 Electric Vehicles for Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) as part of a tender agreement. As a part of the Kerala state vision “Go Green/ Carbon Neutral” By 2030 floated by KSEB Tata Motors shall fulfil the order of EV as per the competitive pan India tender.
On 8th March 2022 at Kanakakkkunu Palace, Trivandrum, organized was a handover ceremony in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Electricity – Shri. K. Krishnankutty, Hon’ble Minister of Transport – Adv. Antony Raju, Chairman KSEB – Dr. B. Ashok IAS and other Senior Government dignitaries.

Tata Motors dominates the market share of 85% (YTD FY22) and nearly 15,000 Tata EVs on road as on date. Tata Motors is leading in proactively driving the advocacy of electric mobility in India. Moreover, Tata Motors has collaborated with other Tata Group companies including Tata Power, Tata Auto Components, Tata Chemicals, Tata Motors Finance and Croma to bring in the change faster in India. Tata Motors has named this initiative as “Tata uniEVerse”.

Tata Tigor EV

The Tata Tigor EV is undoubtedly the safest electric sedan in India with a 4-star G-NCAP rating. Further, Technology, Comfort and Safety are the 3 key product pillars comprising of a supreme powertrain, infotainment and connected systems that set new standards for all. Moreover, the Tigor EV is powered with a 26-kWh high energy density Lithium-ion battery pack. That generates a max power output of 55 kW and a max torque of 170 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 secs resulting in a zippy and exciting drive. Further, it delivers a range of 306km certified by ARAI. The Ziptron technology caters to high performance combined with an energy-efficient motor offering flat torque leading to a ‘zippy’ driving experience. The Tigor EV includes an 8-year and 160,000 KM battery along with a motor warranty.

Tata Nexon EV

On the other hand, the Nexon EV, an aspirational SUV. That furnishes an anxiety-free long-range on a single charge with zero emissions. Additionally, it’s powered  with a powerful and high-efficiency 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor. Powered by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with a range of 312km as per ARAI certificate. The EV comes with best-in-segment dust and waterproof battery pack, meeting the IP67 standards. Furthermore, it provides 35 Mobile Apps based connected features from remote commands, navigation, remote diagnostics and vehicle tracking to driving behavior analytics.
