The new BMW X4

The new BMW X4 premiered in India. BMW has redefined the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) with striking design, attractive features and added equipment.
The new BMW X4 is produced locally at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. Further, the new BMW X4 comes in petrol and diesel variants across BMW dealerships in India.
The new BMW X4 shall be available in limited numbers as an exclusive ‘Black Shadow’ Limited Edition. Designed with an emphasis on dynamics, it’s tailored to suit the necessities of motorsport enthusiasts.

Design Exterior & Interior

The exclusive sports activity coupe design of the new BMW X4 assures us to turn heads. The notable exterior design reinforces the off-road look and sportiness. The striking BMW kidney grille, thin headlights and the redesigned front apron at the front cannot go unnoticed.

Exterior

The exclusive BMW mesh kidney grille comprises all-black mesh-inserts and frames finished in ‘M High Gloss Shadow line’. Moreover, the adaptive LED Headlamps are 10mm slimmer and flatter now, which creates a focused face. Further, the M Shadow line along with black accents and has Matrix function as standard. Moving ahead, the newly designed front apron portray power through the M Aerodynamic package that features elements in body color at the front / rear apron and side sill covers. Additionally, the vertical air intakes and bumper in dark shadow metallic further enhance the boldness.

Driver and front passenger get the superior premium SAC with Sports Seats along with numerous electrical adjustment features and memory functionality. The latest design of the centre console, instrument panel in Sensatec, utilization of M headliner anthracite and galvanic embellisher further enhance the cabin’s luxury. Moreover, the M leather steering with ‘Walknappa’ black along with black stitches and M logo adds to the uniqueness.

Powered by the BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, that melds max power with impeccable efficiency. The 3ltr 6cylinder diesel engine of the BMW X4 xDrive30d generates an output of 265 hp and a max torque of 620 Nm at 2,000/2,500 rpm. The BMW X4 can accelerate from 0 -100 km/hr in just 5.8 secs. Whereas, the 2ltr 4cylinder petrol engine of BMW X4 xDrive30i generates an output of 252 hp and max torque of 350 Nm at 1,450 /4,800 rpm. The petrol variant of the BMW X4 accelerates from 0 -100 km/hr in just 6.6 secs.
The 8-speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission performs effortless, almost unnoticeable gear shifts. The transmission collaborates flawlessly at all times with the engine. Resulting in enabling it to produce its full efficiency and power. Additionally, the 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission gets steering wheel paddle shifters as optional.

Safety

The all-wheel-drive system by BMW xDrive constantly monitors the driving situation and is prompt to respond. The system allocates the engine’s power between the front and rear axle precisely to match the driving situation and the surface. Moreover, the Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks (ADB-X), Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) ensure it can conquer any terrain.
